Miss Graham, Lilies from Lebanon. New York: J. C. Riker, 1849.
Striped cloth bindings are fairly rare, and this is a magnificent example, especially given the fact that it is a children’s book (children tended to be harder on their books than adults). This is a collection of Old Testament stories told in the guise of conversations between parents and their children. New York publisher John C. Riker specialized in issuing handsome albums and annuals that had beautiful bindings like this one.
