The Hints:
1. AAS does have this book and it is in our online catalog. I didn’t find it this way, but you may be able to.
2. I used Google and AAS’s periodicals collection but those of you working from home may need JSTOR, another online resource available at most academic institutions, to confirm you have the right book.
3. I suspected the ale, tavern, and babies thing may be a red herring. It sounded more like a paragraph in the book, an interesting tidbit that would stick in your mind but was probably not the main subject of the book.
4. The title was the most useful clue for me.
